Personalized Technology Professional Development
In order to personalize Technology PD for teachers, my mentor Julien Drennan and I investigated micro-credentialing for teachers and are creating a badging program via Schoology. Teachers completed a technology skills assessment, I analyzed the data and they were grouped according to their skill levels with GSuite into Basic, Beyond Basic or Advanced. This summer LMTSD teacher will complete a GSuite course geared specifically to their skill level and then will be able to earn badges into various GSuite applications next year. Teachers will have the option of attending mini-tech sessions on topics or they can learn about them on their own. In addition to passing an online assessment, they will also have to provide a product created using the specific technology in order to earn the badge. The badges will be open which means that they will describe what the teacher did to earn the badge and provide a link to the product that they created. Below are the project plan, course website, a copy of the skills assessment that was administered to the faculty and analysis of the data collected. This is a work in progress
Other Professional Development Sessions
Throughout the school year, I created and presented a series of professional development sessions for K-12 teachers & staff throughout the district. Below are examples of some of the workshops.
